Ortho-valvic ilness

I/O disease, or Orthovalvic-Illness: Most portable solutions to complex IO required biocircuitry. In nearly all of these designs, input and output devices, especially concerning the input of data or necessary robotic fluids, were subject to hazardous levels of biomechanical degradation. Fierce" wars of information" exchanged salvos of shifts and deletions between rival nucleotide sequences (see Blechtel Inc.). The solution was generally replacement. Some naysayers predicted that Ortho-valvic was a precurser to some form of flaw in the Cartel's design to create information from beings, in which the flow of data and other essential components creates biomechanical weakness-- as unforseen by the Cartel. Others suggest Ortho-valvic is little more than an expensive annoyance. This difference may be due to the many varieties of I/O disease. Most dreaded were the kinds that could not be corrected-- varieties whose treatment would cause more harm to the entity than the disease itself. Dr. Weaseltier was especially interested in these varieties-- in illnesses that seemed to be untreatable.
